This executive will lead and execute Aegis Living Talent Acquisition strategy and operations, designing forward thinking strategies, programs and processes for talent attraction, recruitment, internal mobility, assessment and hiring in support of Aegis Living’s short- and long-term business strategies and initiatives.

 

The position requires the ability to oversee the recruiting team performance in executing staffing plans and in meeting departmental goals in a high volume and fast paced recruiting environment. Job involves a high degree of complexity and agility. Responsible for developing and implementing operational policies and procedures to accomplish team objectives. Accountable for a team approach to strategic planning. Decisions are made within a flexible team operating structure, which often requires both independent decision-making and making decisions through a collaborative process. Must have the ability to move nimbly between strategic and hands-on operations.

  • Lead Talent Acquisition strategy and execution
  • Assess and develop sourcing, recruitment and selection strategies, processes, tools and practices to attract and recruit best-in-class talent across Aegis Living’s 36 communities and home office.
  • Lead the Talent Acquisition team to develop effective recruiting strategies to create strong candidate pipelines that reflect best-in-industry talent for key positions.
  • Lead team to effectively partner with 36 Aegis Living communities to address high volume hiring needs.
  • Lead internal mobility programs and processes to support development of emerging talent and succession plans.
  • Actively lead searches for key high level positions within the organization.
  • Evaluate talent acquisition strategies and team performance based on established metrics focused on continuous improvement.
  • Provide leadership for university relations, campus recruiting and early stage hiring programs including internship and apprentice programs.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with Aegis Living leaders, consulting and advising throughout the recruitment and selection process to ensure high quality, timely completion to fill positions.
  • Provide thought leadership regarding the continued evolution of talent acquisition models, methods and technology.
  • Evaluate, select and manage recruitment agencies and retained search firms, negotiate favorable global service agreements, measure effectiveness and ensure compliance.
  • Forecast talent needs and monitor recruitment metrics.

 

Qualifications

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent specializing in business or a related field is required.

 

Ten years progressively successful recruiting and supervisory experience, as well as demonstrated success achieving ambitious goals in a competitive, fast paced environment, including evidence of helping individuals and groups effectively implement change. Strong familiarity with either the assisted living arena or hospitality is a plus.

  • Experience managing and developing talent acquisition teams
  • Experience conducting leadership level searches and consulting to C-suite executives
  • Deep knowledge of recruitment strategies and branding
  • Experience recruiting both high volume line position as well as leadership positions.
  • Highly effective, strategic thinker and planner with demonstrated project leadership, organizational, analytical, needs analysis, strategic business, problem solving, and presentation skills
  • Capability for analysis; leading a data driven approach to strategy development and operational management
  • Experience managing agencies and search firms
  • Demonstrates value in teamwork and collaboration
  • Experienced in coaching and assessing leaders
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, with highly credible demeanor and presence.
  • Ability to affect change through influence and collaboration.
